ABSTRACT

The subject of this article is the post of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HR), introduced by the Treaty of Lisbon. The author discuss about the position and role of the HR, paying attention to the potential conflicts associated with his competences. The last part of this article is about the role of HR as a representative of the European Union on the international stage. It will be presented Catherine Ashton activity in this area, as a HR.
